Fricke's Red Hot (Louisiana hot sauce)

Ingredients

  • 18 Red cayene peppers (Also called "finger chili", "ginnie pepper" or "bird pepper")
  • 2 Cups white distilled vinegar (For hotter sauce, cut the vinegar in half)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions

  1. Remove pepper stems and blanch the peppers by boiling  in vinegar for 2 minutes (4 minutes if they were dried).
  2. Add all the ingredients to a blender and liquify.
  3. Strain and bottle (Allow one week for best flavor)
