Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Yellow corn meal
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 Cup Vegetable oil
  • 1/4 Cup Honey

Directions

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Beat eggs in a small bowl
  3. Add cream, oil and honey to the beaten eggs and beat
  4. Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until completely moistened. Do not over mix.
  5. Pour into greased 9" square baking pan
  6. Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
